Vintage Aviator Sunglasses
The aviator is arguably one of the most iconic sunglasses of all time. This vintage model was developed in 1939 as an alternative for the foggy goggles used by pilots in the U.S. Since then, it was widely used by the army and started to get a lot of exposure over time.
It became a timeless fashion item. Being used from celebrities such as Freddie Mercury and Elvis Presley to protagonists in Hollywood movies like Tom Cruise in Top Gun and many others. Thanks to these movies, every time I wear them, I imagine myself riding a motorbike on a highway.
Our wooden aviator sunnies follow the classic design: thin frames and temples, double bridge, and teardrop lenses. However, our model has unique bamboo wood temples giving them a nice touch and a lighter aspect. We have three variations: Black (the classic one), Rosé, and Silver.
The lenses provide full ultra-violet protection to your eyes and are polarised. It reduces the eye strain, the reflection, and the glare – improving the contrast and visual comfort.
Please contact us if you need prescription lenses.
